During the process of making a transom packer normally its fabricated from layers of ply wood glued together ! then clamped and even screwed But I never see that ooze of excess glue around all edges!!, its just slap , spread and squeeze and hope for the best !!

Original was 3/4 ply, butt joined with no glue and screwed together with sheet rock screws and they were not tied to transom or bow deck bulkhead, they stopped about 12” short. I cut them to attach to transom and bow bulkhead.

From the Plate to the part which rests on the transom itself is from 15" to 35" (uncommon) but the usual suspects are the first 3...15", 20" and 25".

Raising Transom Height from 20in to 25in? | Boat Design Net
2020年9月3日 · Currently the transom lip measuring to the bottom of the V is at about 22 1/2 inches. I have lined up a 200 2.5L 25in two stroke and plan on adding a jackplate. The jackplate could take care of the height difference but my worry is that the boat will sit very low in the water and the engine well/ transom will be very close to the water.
