It's slow, but provides a quality mount that isn't too labor intensive. I've tried boiling, but prefer the quality of skulls cleaned with cold water maceration. Here's a run down of changes I've made that seem to help.

Most said it would cost $300+ for a euro for a taxidermist to do it for you. In either case, I found a good article by Go Hunt that talks about a lot of the steps you'll need to do in the field to protect it.

I think the natural bone color is fine. To answer your question, I think the same bleaching compound that whitens the skull will do a pretty good job on the teeth, but may need a second application.

网页2015年10月8日 · I had this euro done by a “professional” who uses a beetle cleaning method. When I got it back in spring 2019, the skull was very white, albeit stinky. Fast forward to now and it no longer smells, but it has yellowed significantly. It is still white under the areas that he glued (no clue why he did that).

I do a second one to keep it from twisting on the plate with the weight of the antlers. I also did a french cleat with an aluminum hanger from Lowes so the plaque sits flush to the wall.

网页2015年2月8日 · I also prefer to mount whitetail racks at a slight angle. For a hall tree with four racks on four flat sides of a 4x4 or 6x6 post, I think caps only would work better than euro skulls. Whole process takes about 3 days' time and a total effort hour of about 2 hours per head at most.
