I didn't want a basic Springfield and wanted a forged reciever, completely unaware that LRB was a thing at that time. I knew of Fulton, Springfield, Bula, Norinco, and James River.

The M14 style rifles, reminiscent of the M1 Garand, are accurate and reliable and easy to work on but a bit tough to clean in comparison to the HK and FN's. 2024年6月24日 · I should have just said piston driven semi-autos chambered in a battle rifle caliber or one with similar ballistics (308, 6.5 Creed, 30-06). Basically comparing the M14 to rifles such as the FAL, G3, HK-416, SCAR, Sig Spear, piston driven AR-10's, etc, with a barrel length between 16 and 24 inches (just to throw the Garand in there).

2011年4月6日 · I have an M14 and I have only lubed it in 3 places, the bolt and op rod and the receiver. I didnt know there were so many other places that needed lubed. Plus I was using Hoppes Gun Lube which I love to use because we used it on our M40a3s.

They stamped their importer mark as "CAI" (Century Arms, International) sometimes on the receiver heel, sometimes on the underside of the forward portion of the barrel.

2024年3月14日 · The M14E2 was built to be fired in full automatic mode, so yes a true E2/A1 would most certainly have the go fast switch. Good luck finding the E2 sling, and stabilizer without which you don’t have a true clone. I would suggest Fulton Armory’s reproduction stabilizer, they certainly look the part. REN.

2020年4月3日 · Because the M14 fired so fast in full auto that the mag follower spring couldn't push the rounds up fast enough, that the bolt would close on a empty chamber. This was early on. Springfield came up with the fix by milling off X amount from the back of the op rod where it touches the front of the receiver.
