These fish are healthy and have learned to thrive off of the Blue-Back Herring population that the Mountain Lakes boast. During the late summer months Yellow Perch group up in the grass and brush around the shorelines.

I did not even know what they were until about 15 years ago. With all that said about three weeks age I caught one that was larger than I had seen before, beautiful fish.

2017年6月16日 · Perch are notoriously aggressive and will will forage non stop on bait, including fry. Maybe that's what's happening. Took a couple of 5/6 pounders in the spring last year and was only able to get a couple of 3 pounders this year during the spring for big fish.
