1 day ago · A former City of Española employee who worked under Mayor John Ramon Vigil and former city manager Jordan Yutzy, is suing the city and the mayor for alleged wrongful termination and gender-based discrimination. The lawsuit is the second to accuse Vigil of misconduct. The first was a whistleblower claim filed by Yutzy.

1 day ago · A fifth family is suing over the alleged abuse by a former Chama teacher against his elementary school students, after misdemeanor criminal charges against him were dismissed. Jose and Barbara Gallegos, parents of E.G., filed the four-page lawsuit in federal district court on Oct. 1, naming only Phillip Gallegos, and not the Chama school district.
