2010年2月26日 · I always thought E.V.A. was the main song sampled. I'm actually pretty surprised by the song in the OP. They both sound pretty similar and were definitely both used to create the theme. I don't have the time to analyze the samples right now but I hope EVA had as much an influence as I thought because it is about a million times better!

I see Futurama as the Cleveland show to the Simpsons Family Guy (though Futurama is not as quite as bad compared to the Simpsons as the Cleveland Show is to Family Guy)

2023年1月28日 · I’m going to say it’s inspired by but fundamentally different. The chimes are the same pitches however the melody is slightly different. Because rhythm of the melody is elongated and simplified. The chords are outlined by different instruments than the Futurama theme.

And finally, the opening of the Futurama theme has variations to that main melody throughout the entire song, whereas Smells Like Teen Spirit uses that opening melody multiple times, then going to a completely different melody.
